Sharon A. Boyd, LMT, has been a massage therapist for eight years. She has active massage licenses in Florida and Texas and is certified nationally. Sharon graduated in 2003 from the Florida Therapy School of Massage in Pensacola Florida, where she learned connective tissue, trigger point, deep tissue, reflexology and many other modalities but also learned intuitive massage, most people call it energy work. She learned to use her intuitive skills to melt deep into the clients problem areas and to promote rapid healing. She listens both with her intuitive skills and with her ears and encourages clients to be open and honest during their sessions. In addition to the above modalities. Sharon have taken classes and practiced Thai Yoga massage, hot and cold stone massage, prenatal massage, sports massage and several others.
Over the years she has come to really enjoy and appreciate reflexology. Reflexology has been practiced for 2500 years all over the world. It can be done on the feet, hands, face, or ears. However, Sharon has found that working on the feet is much more user friendly. Many clients come to her for many issues including allergies, depression and tension. She has also found that it is wonderful for overuse injuries on a physical level such as keyboarding or for runners. In addition other manual therapists find it helpful for hand and wrist problems.
She is the proud grandmother of a beautiful 22 month old girl so on a personal level she is trying to teach by example. She wants her to take care of herself and so Sharon has to do the same. She also wants her to find passion in her work one day as Sharon has in doing massage. Sharon hopes to continue to practice massage or energy work until she is 90+.
